Jofra Archer will miss the upcoming three-match ODI series against India after aggravating his elbow injury in the preceding T20Is. England's 14-member squad for the ODIs also doesn't feature Joe Root, who flew back home after the Tests, but legspinner Matt Parkinson earns a recall after a year. Archer will instead be flying back to the UK for "further management and investigation" of his right elbow injury that is said to have deteriorated over the course of the five-game T20I series. Consequently, the pacer was deemed unfit for selection, and will miss the start of the IPL 2021 as well, said ECB in the media release.
