Sudhir Kumar Gautam is Indian’s most recognizable cricket fan. For decades now, the thin man with a shaved head and tri-colour body paint has been a permanent fixture at India matches. TV cameras faithfully zoom in on him when something celebratory happens, and he blows his conch and waves a large national flag with the other hand. Other spectators mob him for selfies. Sudhir is used to attention, and a life lived on the road.

भारत में जब क्रिकेट की बात आती है तो सबसे पहले जो नाम दिमाग में आता है वो सचिन तेंदुलकर का होता है. जबकि जब क्रिकेट के सबसे बड़े फैन की बात होती है तो उसमें सचिन के फैन सुधीर गौतम का नाम आता है. जिसकी सबसे बड़ी सच्चाई ये है की खुद सचिन तेंदुलकर ने गौतम के फ़ोन में एक अलग ही नाम से अपना नंबर सेव कर दिया था. क्रिकेट के भगवान कहे जाने वाले सचिन तेंदुलकर के सबसे बड़े फैन की जब बात होती है तो सबसे पहले नाम सुधीर गौतम का ही आता है. बिहार के रहने वाले इस फैन को भारतीय टीम के हर मैच में देखा जाता है. जहाँ पर पूरे शरीर में तिरंगे के रंग में रंगकर मैत्च देखते हैं. यहाँ तक की उनके बाल में भी इसी रंग में रंगे हुए होते हैं.
