भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के बल्लेबाज रोहित शर्मा ने इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ पांचवें टी20 मुकाबले की पहली पारी में 40 रन बनाते ही मार्टिन गप्टिल का रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिया और टी20 इंटरनेशनल क्रिेकेट में सबसे ज्यादा रन बनाने के मामले में दूसरे नंबर पर पहुंच गए। रोहित शर्मा ने इस मैच में 30 गेंदों पर छक्का लगाते हुए अपना अर्धशतक पूरा किया और इस दौरान उन्होंने एक छक्का व एक चौका लगाया। वहीं इस मैच में रोहित ने 34 गेंदों पर 5 छक्के व 4 चौकों की मदद से तूफानी 64 रन की पारी खेली।
