The Union Cabinet met under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. A decision has been taken to create a new national bank in the cabinet, which will work to fund large infrastructure projects. The bank has been named 'Development Finance Institute'. Nirmala Sitharaman informed in the press conference that the government had announced the creation of such banks in the budget itself, which has now been approved by the cabinet as well.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अगुवाई में मंगलवार को केंद्रीय कैबिनेट की बैठक हुई. कैबिनेट में एक नए नेशनल बैंक बनाने का फैसला लिया गया है, जो बड़े इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के प्रोजेक्ट को फंड करने के लिए काम करेगा. इसे बैंक को 'विकास वित्त संस्थान' नाम दिया गया है. वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में जानकारी दी कि सरकार ने बजट में ही ऐसे बैंक बनाए जाने की घोषणा की थी, जिसे अब कैबिनेट ने भी मंजूरी दे दी है.
