इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ जारी पांच मैचों की टी20 सीरीज में भारतीय टीम ने पहले मैच में ओपनर के तौर पर शिखर धवन और केएल राहुल को मौका दिया था, लेकिन अगले ही मैच में ओपनिंग जोड़ी बदल गई। दूसरे टी20 मैच में केएल राहुल के साथ ओपनिंग के लिए इशान किशन को चुना गया। वहीं, नियमित ओपनर रोहित शर्मा को आराम का हवाला देकर प्लेइंग इलेवन से बाहर रखा गया है। अब ऐसा समझा जा रहा है कि रोहित अगले मैच में भी नहीं खेल पाएंगे।
