SOT, Fabienne, Midwife (French): "We came to tell women that we believe them when they say they have been raped, when they say that they have suffered obstetric violence, when they say that they do not have access to abortion.”
SOT, Demonstrator (Spanish): "Because they can't silence what we feel, the pain that we have: We need work and because we are women they don't give us work, and if we get it, it is with a minimum wage, so where is the justice, where are the equality, the equity, and the fair wage, it doesn't exist.”
SOT, Loudmina, Demonstrator (Arabic): "It is the international day for the rights of women, it is a day when all the women of the world are reminded of their rights. Unfortunately this date has been rigged, it is not a day to celebrate or give gifts. They emptied it of its true meaning. We came out here today to demand our rights as Algerian women because we have no rights in society and the state does not protect us."
