A survey of 50 superannuation funds found women made up only about one third of leadership positions. However, the survey found those super funds with a higher proportion of women in top jobs were outperforming other funds. Deanne Stewart, who is the CEO of Aware Super, says this finding supports broader research that shows women in leadership positions is 'not only a moral imperative but it makes good business sense'.
