Anfernee Simons was interviewed after All-Star weekend and asked about winning the slam dunk contest and kissing the rim. Simons won the dunk contest crown, defeating Obi Toppin and Cassius Stanley in the process. He included an homage to Tracy McGrady, and even tried to kiss the rim on his final dunk. Simons is the first member of the Portland Trailblazers to ever win a slam dunk contest. He won the majority of the judges votes in the final round to take home the crown.
