Winglish Flatwork

Today, Lovinsanna continued with another gorgeous day of flatwork, with a bit more emphasis on teaching Bella to stop on a loose reign. This is apparently for trail-riding in case she has to stop the horse quickly without time to tighten up reins and execute the traditional English halt. The field's owner had sort of harrowed recently, but not evenly, so she was doing a fair bit of looking down to assess the ground where they were going for potential safety hazards. The joys and challenges of working in a field instead of an arena.

One Word of Warning! Today was quite windy! The audio is deleted due to the sounds of the wind in the camera's mic, but the danger should be pointed out that not every horse can handle outdoor flatwork in a windstorm. Bella's been trained to focus, so it wasn't a big deal for her today, but other horses Lovinsanna has ridden were not as well trained on the focus issue. If you have not engaged in training your horse's mind, don't attempt to copy what Lovinsanna did today under the same circumstances.
