World Cup-winning captain and former India all-rounder Kapil Dev on Wednesday received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Kapil, 62, took the vaccine at the Fortis Hospital Heart Institute in Delhi under the supervision of his cardiologist Dr. Atul Mathur, Director of Cardiology. Last year, the legendary cricketer was admitted to the hospital on October 23 after he complained of chest pain. He then underwent an angioplasty and was discharged two days later. Kapil continues to have his blood-thinning medication.

महान क्रिकेटर कपिल देव ने कोरोना का टीका लगा लिया है. पूर्व भारतीय कप्तान कपिल देव ने कोरोना की वैक्सीन की पहली डोज ले ली है. शहर के फोर्टिस अस्पताल में ये टीका लगवाया. कपिल देव ऐसे चौथे पूर्व भारतीय खिलाड़ी बने, जिन्होंने कोरोना का टीका लगवाया. उनसे पहले कपिल देव से पहले टीम इंडिया के मौजूदा मुख्य कोच रवि शास्त्री, पूर्व भारतीय धाकड़ बल्लेबाज संदीप पाटिल और मदनलाल कोरोना का टीका लगवा चुके हैं. आपको बता दें, देश में कोरोना टीकाकरण का दूसरा चरण सोमवार से शुरू हुआ है. 1 मार्च को देश के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दिल्ली स्थित एम्स में जाकर टीका लगवाया था. और अब कपिल देव ने फोर्टिस अस्पताल में कोरोना वैक्सीन की पहली डोज ले ली है.
