India on Saturday reported above 16,000 fresh coronavirus cases. The fresh cases were reported from Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka. The respective state governments of the following states have once again announced stringent measures to stem the spread of new variant of the virus.
