Greek police used tear gas and a water cannon to disperse protesters gathered in Athens to support the hunger strike of Dimitris Koufontinas, a convicted assassin from the now disbanded far-left revolutionary organisation '17 November.'
Police detained nine people who occupied the Greek consulate in Berlin, to protest for the liberation of revolutionary figure Dimitris Koufontinas, who's been on a hunger strike for the last 48 days.
Koufontinas, serving multiple life sentences and charged with several murders, is reportedly in critical condition after almost a month of a hunger strike to pressure the Greek government for a prison transfer.
