माघ महीने के शुक्ल पक्ष की पूर्णिमा की उदया तिथि 27 फरवरी की है। लेकिन पूर्णिमा का व्रत आज यानी 26 फरवरी को रखा जा रहा है। इस दिन जातक व्रत करते हैं और शाम के समय चंद्र देवता को अर्घ्य देकर व्रत खोलते हैं। इस दिन स्नान, दीपदान और तुलसी पूजा का महत्व बेहद अत्याधिक होता है। कहा जा रहा है कि इस वर्ष पूर्णिमा पर उपछाया चंद्रग्रहण हो रहा है जिसके चलते महायोग सर्वार्थ सिद्धि योग बन रहा है।

The Udaya date for the full moon of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Magha is February 27. But the full moon fast is being observed today i.e. on 26 February. On this day the Jataka fasts and opens the fast in the evening by offering arghya to the lunar deity. Bathing, lamp donation and Tulsi Puja are extremely important on this day. It is being said that this year, full moon lunar eclipse is happening on the full moon, due to which Mahayoga is becoming siddhi yoga for all times.
