During the last 24 hours, scattered light rain and snow with one or two moderate spells have occurred over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. Isolated pockets of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh recorded rain with light snowfall. Day temperatures increased significantly over North-West India. Many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, western Himalayas, parts of Rajasthan, Assam and Meghalaya have witnessed temperatures above normal by 5 to 7 degrees.

देश की राजधानी से ठंड अब बोरिया-बिस्‍तर समेटकर जा चुकी है। गर्मी आ चुकी है। दिल्ली में बीते 15 साल में फरवरी महीने में कल यानि बुधवार सबसे गर्म दिन रहा. मौसम विज्ञान विभाग के मुताबिक बुधवार को Maximum temperature 32.5 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया. राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली में बुधवार सुबह मौसम गर्म रहने के साथ ही उमस भरा रहा और हवा में Humidity level 100 फीसदी तक दर्ज किया गया.
