In the mahapanchayat held a few days ago in Haryana, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had asked the farmers to be ready to sacrifice a crop. Some farmers of Punjab and Haryana have started implementing this appeal of Tikait. Many farmers destroyed tractors by running tractors on their ready standing crops. There have been cases from many places in Haryana and Punjab where as soon as the day comes, the farmers take their tractors to the field and start destroying their wheat crop after which the farmer leaders prevented them from doing so.

किसान नेता राकेश टिकैत ने कृषि कानूनों के विरोध में कुछ दिन पहले हरियाणा में आयोजित एक महापंचायत में किसानों से अपनी फसल को नष्ट करने के लिए तैयार रहने की अपील की थी. राकेश टिकैत की इस अपील का असर ये हुआ कि पंजाब और हरियाणा में किसानों ने अपनी खड़ी फसल को नष्ट करना शुरू कर दिया. कई किसानों ने अपनी तैयार खड़ी फसलों पर ट्रैक्टर चलाकर उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया.
