The case of Amroha of Uttar Pradesh remains a matter of discussion all over the country. Shabnam has been sentenced to death. Preparations are being made to hang a woman for the first time in independent India. This hanging is to be given in Mathura jail of Uttar Pradesh. Mathura jail is the only jail in the state where there is a female hanging house. This hanging house of Mathura jail was built by the British in 1870. That is, it was built about 150 years ago. But no women have been hanged here since 1947

उत्तर प्रदेश के अमरोहा का केस देशभर में चर्चा का विषय बना हुआ है. शबनम को फांसी की सजा सुनाई जा चुकी है. आजाद भारत में पहली बार किसी महिला को फांसी देने की तैयारी की जा रही है. ये फांसी उत्तर प्रदेश की मथुरा जेल में दी जानी है. मथुरा जेल प्रदेश की एकमात्र जेल है जहां पर महिला फांसी घर है. मथुरा जेल का ये फांसी घर 1870 में अंग्रेजों ने बनवाया था. यानी आज से करीब 150 साल पहले इसे बनाया गया था. लेकिन 1947 से लेकर अब तक यहां किसी भी महिला को फांसी नहीं दी गई है
