Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) has changed its name. The franchise captained by KL Rahul and owned by Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia and Preity Zinta will now be called Punjab Kings. According to reports, KXIP will attend IPL Auctions under new brand identity. Punjab Kings will now attend the IPL Auctions schedued on Feb18th under its new name.

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग का 14वां सीजन का आयोजन अप्रैल-मई में होगा. किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब उन चंद टीमों में से एक है जो अब तक एक भी खिताब अपने नाम नहीं कर पाई है, लेकिन 14वें सीजन से पहले टीम ने एक बड़ा बदलाव किया है, किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब ने अपना नाम बदल लिया है और इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग के अगले सत्र में यह पंजाब किंग्स टीम कहलायेगी, किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब आईपीएल की उन आठ टीमों में से है जिसने यूएई में पिछला सत्र खेला था।
