The film begins in Zonguldak, in 1941. While two young poets Muzaffar Tayyip Uslu (Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ) and Rüştü Onur (Mert Fırat) continue their life of civil service in this recently modernized mining town, they also live together with art, literature and poetry, they have the dream of becoming a butterfly to fly in the sky and become famous poets.
