Automobile giant Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling over 1.29 million vehicles owing to a failure in its eCall software, which may not provide a vehicle's correct location to emergency responders, postcrash. According to The Verge, the automakers have said that they were unaware of any instances of material damages or personal injuries that may have resulted from this issue and that they plan to provide a free software update to be installed over the air or at dealerships. The recall will begin on April 6th.
