January was full of firsts for Xiao Qi Ji, the five-month-old panda cub of the Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, DC. The growing bear played with his first enrichment toys, had his first bite of sweet potato and bamboo, took part in his first livestream and experienced his first encounter with snow during that month.
