Kashmir shuts on Maqbool Bhat's death anniversary

A shutdown was observed across Kashmir on the death anniversary of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) founder, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat.
Bhat was hanged on this day in New Delhi's Tihar jail in 1984.
Shops and business establishments remained shut in Srinagar's commercial hub of Lal Chowk while the pedestrian and traffic movement was thin. The JKLF had given a shutdown call asking people to observe strike.
