The budget session of Parliament continues. And in this session on Thursday, the issue of spreading rumors on social media came up. Over the past few days, there has been growing controversy in the government and micro-blogging site Twitter. On one hand, while the government is strict about closing an account of those who talk anti-national on social media, the same Twitter is calling for freedom of expression. Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has made it clear that no social media platform will be spared.

संसद का बजट सत्र जारी है. और इस सत्र में गुरुवार को सोशल मीडिया पर अफवाह फैलाने का मुद्दा उठा. पिछले कुछ दिन से सरकार और माइक्रो ब्लॉगिंग साइट ट्विटर में तकरार बढ़ती जा रही है. सरकार एक ओर जहां सोशल मीडिया पर देश विरोधी बातें करने वालों के एक अकाउंट बंद करने को लेकर सख्त है तो वही ट्विटर अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी की दुहाई दे रहा है. इस बीच केंद्रीय मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद ने साफ कर दिया है कि किसी भी सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा.
