Large metal barriers have been put up around the damaged section of the old Northern Textiles shades and blinds building in the section which runs up Hart Lane.

Plastic barriers have also been installed outside the front of the property on Raby Road, making the junction inaccessible to anyone on foot, while the pedestrian crossing leading to the rest of the shops in the street is still in use.
