Protests against a draft issued by the National Monuments Authority in Odisha regarding the Lord Jagannath temple located in Puri are increasing. In fact, in this draft, the authority has prohibited any construction within 100 meters of the Jagannath temple. The state's Biju Janata Dal government, the temple committee and even the opposition party are in protest against this decision of the NMA.

ओडिशा में राष्ट्रीय स्मारक प्राधिकरण के द्वारा पुरी में स्थित भगवान जगन्नाथ मंदिर को लेकर जारी किए एक ड्राफ्ट के खिलाफ विरोध बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। दरअसल, इस मसौदे में प्राधिकरण ने जगन्नाथ मंदिर के 100 मीटर के दायरे में किसी भी निर्माण को प्रतिबंधित कर दिया है। NMA के इस फैसले के खिलाफ राज्य की बीजू जनता दल सरकार, मंदिर समिति और यहां तक कि विपक्षी दल भी विरोध में है।
