Heavy snowfall broke a prolonged dry spell that lasted over a month in Himachal Pradesh. But it also impeded daily life in Shimla. The city has been blanketed in snow since it received the first spell of snowfall on February 04. Snow accumulated on the circular road and made the vehicle movement a tough job. Continuous snowfall hampered the snow-clearing operations on the roads, too.
