Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2021-22 in Lok Sabha on February 1. The Union Budget 2021 focused on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat or Self Reliant India. Most importantly, price of alcohol, home appliances & mobiles will go up, while the government cut the custom duty on several other things making them cheaper. An agriculture infrastructure and development cess of Rs 2.5 per litre on petrol and Rs 4 per litre on diesel have been added in the budget.
