After which there was a new twist in the movement. Many organizations angry over the violence ended the agitation, but the leaders of the Bharatiya Kisan Union stayed on the Ghazipur border. Talking to news agency ANI, BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikaitne said that we will not vacate the place we are in now. Our demand is that the government withdraw the new laws and bring laws on MSP. He said that he will talk to the Government of India to solve this problem.

नए कृषि कानून के खिलाफ 26 जनवरी को किसान संगठनों ने ट्रैक्टर रैली निकाली थी। इस दौरान राजधानी दिल्ली के कई इलाकों में जमकर हिंसा हुई। जिसके बाद आंदोलन में नया मोड़ आया। हिंसा से नाराज कई संगठनों ने आंदोलन खत्म कर दिया, लेकिन भारतीय किसान यूनियन के नेता गाजीपुर बॉर्डर पर डटे रहे। न्यूज एजेंसी एएनआई से बात करते हुए BKU प्रवक्ता राकेश टिकैतने कहा कि हम अभी जिस जगह पर हैं, उसे खाली नहीं करेंगे। हमारी मांग वही है कि सरकार नए कानूनों को वापस ले और एमएसपी पर कानून लाए। उन्होंने कहा कि इस समस्या के समाधान के लिए वो भारत सरकार से बात करेंगे
