Ahead of the IPL 2021 Auctions, Scott Styris made a bold remark about released Kings Xi Punjab (KXIP) star Glenn Maxwell. The Kiwi said that if any franchise would pay Maxwell around the 10cr region it can turn out to be a waste of money. Scott Styris added that Maxwell’s performance in the last “five or six” IPL seasons has been “disappointing”. Styris further stated that it was best to get the service of the 32-year-old at his base price. The dynamic Aussie all-rounder, who was bought for Rs 10.75 crore by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the IPL 2020 auction, has been released by the franchise. Maxwell had scored 108 runs at a strike-rate of 101.88 from 13 matches in the previous edition.

आईपीएल की नीलामी अब आगे है. कुछ ही हफ्तों का समय रह गया है. अब भविष्यवाणी होने लगी है कि फलां खिलाड़ी इस बार नीलामी में महंगा बिकने वाला है. या सबसे ज्यादा बोली लगाई जाएगी. न्यूजीलैंड के पूर्व क्रिकेटर स्कॉट स्टायरिस ने आगामी नीलामी को लेकर बड़ा बयान दिया है. स्कॉट स्टायरिस का मानना है कि इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग के आगामी सीजन में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के ऑल राउंडर ग्लेन मैक्सवेल को मोटी रकम में खरीदना मूर्खतापूर्ण फैसला होगा. गौरतलब है कि ग्लेन मैक्सवेल को लेकर काफी ज्यादा हवाइयां उड़ रही है. हर नीलामी में उन्हें काफी पैसे मिलते हैं. महंगे बिकते हैं. करोड़ों पैसे मिल जाते हैं. पर प्रदर्शन उस तरीके का नहीं होता है. इसलिए मैक्सवेल को खूब आलोचना भी हो रही है. आईपीएल में मैक्सवेल फ्लॉप हो जाते हैं. लेकिन, जब बात देश की आती है. तो ऐसा प्रदर्शन करते हैं कि किसी को भरोसा भी नहीं होता है.
