bahut roya wo hum ko yaad kar ke

hamari zindagi barbaad kar ke

palaT kar phir yahin aa jaenge hum

wo dekhe to hamein aazad kar ke

rihai ki koi surat nahin hai

magar han minnat-e-sayyaad kar ke

badan mera chhua tha us ne lekin

gaya hai ruh ko aabaad kar ke

har aamir tul dena chahta hai

muqarrar zulm ki miad kar ke

ہماری زندگی برباد کر کے

پلٹ کر پھر یہیں آ جائیں گے ہم

وہ دیکھے تو ہمیں آزاد کر کے

رہائی کی کوئی صورت نہیں ہے

مگر ہاں منت صیاد کر کے

بدن میرا چھوا تھا اس نے لیکن

گیا ہے روح کو آباد کر کے

ہر آمر طول دینا چاہتا ہے
