President Joe Biden signs a series of new executive orders to curb the Covid-19 pandemic, telling Americans of his administration's "full-scale wartime effort," which will include tighter rules on travel to the US, a vaccination campaign to administer 100 million shots in 100 days, and helping schools reopen safely. The new leader of the world's hardest-hit country has made fighting the coronavirus one of his top priorities, saying, "For the past year we couldn't rely on the federal government to act with the urgency and focus and coordination we needed."
