The Gujarat government has decided to rename Dragon Fruit to 'Kamalam'. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, gave information about this. Rupani said that, the government has renamed Dragon Fruit 'Dragon Fruit' to 'Kamalam'. This is done because, the outer shape of this fruit is like lotus.

गुजरात सरकार ने ड्रैगन फ्रूट का नाम बदलकर 'कमलम' रखने का फैसला लिया है। इस बारे में गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री खुद विजय रूपाणी ने जानकारी दी। रूपाणी ने कहा कि, सरकार ने ड्रैगन फ्रूट 'dragon fruit' का नाम बदलकर 'कमलम' किया है। ऐसा इसलिए किया गया है, क्योंकि, इस फल का बाहरी आकार कमल जैसा होता है।
