Sa eksklusibong panayam ng beteranong direktor at star builder na si Johnny Manahan sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), inihayag nito na gusto lang muna nitong magpahinga matapos na umalis sa ABS-CBN.
"All I wanted to do was rest," sagot ni Mr. M (popular na tawag sa kanya sa showbiz) sa tanong sa kanya ni PEP Deputy News Editor Rachelle Siazon.
Tanong kasi ni Siazon, kung nagkaroon ba ng offer mula sa ibang TV station o nagkaroon ng plano ang dating Star Magic boss na gumawa ng sariling talent company.
Patuloy ni Mr. M, "After 50 years... come to think of it, 50 years non-stop, you know, I've been working since I was 25. Thirty-five of those years in ABS.
"So, when... at a certain point I said, 'I'm tired. I'm not gonna do this anymore. Especially, with the current people around. You know, all the old people I know, wala na ro'n.
"I just wanted to rest," dagdag pa ng lalaking naging responsable sa pagsikat ng mga artistang katulad nina Piolo Pascual, Maja Salvador, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, at iba pang Kapamilya stars.
Pero may balak nga ba siyang magbuo ng bago niyang talent company? Magtrabaho para sa ibang TV network?
