Tax hike may pay for vaccine bill

Tax hikes may be on the cards as Treasury looks at options to pay for COVID-19 vaccines. An estimated R20 billion is needed to cover the vaccine bill. Director-general Dondo Mogajane says Treasury is not only considering raising taxes, but borrowing as well. In fact he says our borrowing requirements are already into the hundreds of billions, and an extra R20 billion won't worsen our debt drastically. Courtesy #DStv403
