On Jan. 16, 1991, President George H. W. Bush announced the start of Operation Desert Storm, after Iraqi #military forces who had invaded neighboring Kuwait refused to withdraw.
The #GulfWar was a war waged by coalition forces from 35 nations led by the #Usa against Iraq in response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait arising from oil pricing and production disputes.
