Between 1989 and 1990, the United States invaded Panama to overthrow the military dictator Manuel Noriega during 'Operation Just Cause.' Noriega, who was indicted in the #USA on drug trafficking charges and accusations of rigging the democratically-elected 1989 presidential election.
