John Wall blasted James Harden after Harden said the Rockets' situation can't be fixed and said "it hurts" when some players don't buy into the situation, which he had already felt in his early seasons with the Wizards. He added that the cohesion between he and Harden is rocky on the court and Houston resembles an AAU team that only comes together to play every weekend. The Rockets took two consecutive blowout losses to the Lakers and have lost four of five, with Harden seemingly done playing for the team as his push for a trade continues.
