The Health Ministry today reported a record-setting 3,309 new Covid-19 cases and 190 patients in intensive care, a day before a large part of the country goes into a movement control order (MCO) lockdown.

Nearly a third of the new cases were reported in Selangor (1,007) of which 12 percent were not detected among targeted groups (clusters, factory or construction workers and close contacts), according to state health department data.
