The Supreme Court on Monday granted 2 weeks time to politician Mukhtar Ansari and the Punjab Government to file a reply to the Uttar Pradesh government’s plea seeking Ansari’s transfer from Ropar Jail in Punjab to the Ghazipur Jail in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh government has tried 31 times to bring Mukhtar to Uttar Pradesh from Punjab, but time and again UP Police have returned empty handed.
