Yemenis say US decision to brand Huthis "terrorists" will mostly affect civilians

Yemeni residents of the capital Sanaa say that the US administration's decision to brand Huthi rebels as "terrorists" will affect civilians the most and will hinder and "complicate" any progress in reaching a peaceful resolution to the Yemeni war. Unless Congress blocks the decision, the Iran-backed Huthis will be blacklisted on January 19 -- one day before the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, whose aides had hoped to mount a fresh push to end Yemen's devastating six-year-old war.
