TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee made a derogatory remark against Devi Sita. He compared the Sita Haran part of Ramayana with the Hathras rape case. BJP leader filed a complaint against Kalyan Banerjee for making such a remark. Maithili community demanded an apology on the statement from the TMC MP within 24 hours.
