Lake St Lucia mouth being restored
It’s been at least 10 years since the Lake St Lucia mouth last connected to the sea. It’s been an ongoing ecological problem caused by climate change and farming activities along the Mfolosi flood plain, meaning too much silt flowed into the lake. Falling within the Isimangaliso wetland park, the lake was South Africa’s first World Heritage Site, making it an important area for tourism. eNCA reporter, Mawande Kheswa has more. Courtesy #DStv403
