ANC under pressure

The ANC’s upcoming January 8 statement needs to demonstrate that it’s capable of leading society – and dealing with corruption. That’s according to ANC alliance partner – Cosatu – which says it’s unclear if the government is leading the ANC – or vice versa. The party is currently battling internal divisions, leaders implicated in corruption – and growing distrust in its ability to handle the COVID-19 outbreak. ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the party’s birthday statement virtually on Friday due to COVID-19 restrictions. eNCA's Govan Whittles reports.
