ISRO Chief K.K. Sivan's tenure has been extended till 14 January 2022. His term was going to be completed on 14 January 2021. This information was given in an order issued on Wednesday by the Ministry of Personnel. There were some important space missions under the supervision of Sivan, which has been hanged due to global epidemic corona. Despite some delay in their launch, ISRO has announced the proposed launch of an important mission next year.

इसरो चीफ के. सिवन का कार्यकाल 14 जनवरी 2022 तक बढ़ा दिया गया है. उनका कार्यकाल 14 जनवरी 2021 को पूरा होने जा रहा था. कार्मिक मंत्रालय की ओर से बुधवार को जारी एक आदेश में ये जानकारी दी गई. सिवन की देखरेख में कुछ अहम अंतरिक्ष मिशन चल रहे थे जो वैश्विक महामारी कोरोना की वजह से लटक गए हैं. इनके लॉन्‍च में कुछ देरी होगी इसके बावजूद इसरो ने अगले साल एक अहम मिशन के प्रस्‍तावित लॉन्‍च का ऐलान किया है.
