North Korean delegates attending the regime's eighth Workers' Party Congress have reportedly arrived in Pyeongyang,... raising the possibility the event could proceed at any time.
The North's state-run media reported Thursday that attendees have been gathering in the city since late December to a warm welcome.
A ceremony also took place on Wednesday to award certificates to the delegates.
The congress will be the first of its kind in four years.
It's expected to cover a new five-year economic development plan and will possibly send a message to the incoming administration in the U.S.
