Why don't a large population trust the Corona vaccine?

After a year-long wait, the corona vaccine finally arrived, yet a large part of the world's population still don't trust it. Muslim religious leaders expressed their doubts due to the suspicion of pig fat in the vaccine and due to the new strain of corona, people are also apprehensive whether this vaccine will work on the new form of corona or not.
