Toronto churches are pivoting towards virtual and scaled-back services amid the pandemic, but still want to send messages of hope and optimism in this Christmas celebration.

Pope Francis celebrated a low-key Christmas Eve Mass and streets in Bethlehem were empty as churches held reduced celebrations.
