KOLKATA CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL 2020 ll PARK STREET ALLEN PARK ll WEST BENGAL,INDIA II CINEMATIC VIDEO II QSS DIGITAL MOVIES II
Kolkata Christmas Festival has become an annual attraction in the city’s calendar.
This year, 2020, it is being held from December 21 to 30. It was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, at Allen Park on Park Street (Mother Teresa Sarani) in the presence of representatives from all Christian denominations and members of all communities.
Every year Park Street comes alive with beautiful lighting, Christmas carols, special choir performances, food stalls and live music by the city's most popular performers and bands.
However, this year, in view of the ongoing pandemic, there will be a few restrictions. This year there will be no food stalls on Park Street or in Allen Park. A maximum of 150 persons will be allowed inside Allen Park for the live performances, which will be restricted to a maximum of 2hrs 30 min each day. The good news is that this year you can watch all the performances as they are happening on Facebook Live.
This unique celebration of the joy of Christmas is organised by the Department of Tourism, Government of West Bengal, in association with Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the Apeejay Surrendra Group and members of the Christian community.
