Muda ropes in Tommy Thomas, Ambiga to challenge ROS
  • 3 years ago
The Malaysia United Democratic Alliance (Muda) has given the Registrar of Societies (ROS) seven days to grant its application to register as a political party or risk legal action.

Muda's pro-tem committee led by Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman - as one of the 13 co-founders - handed over to ROS the group's legal letter issued by the legal firm of former attorney-general Tommy Thomas.

Thomas, alongside former rights group Hakam chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan, has been appointed to represent Muda in the bid to seek justice from ROS on the issue of its registration as a formal political party.
