کشتی تیرا نصیب چمکدار کر دیا
اِس پار کے تھپیڑوں نے اُس پار کر دیا
افواہ تھی کہ میر طبعیت خراب ہے
لوگوں نے پوچھ پوچھ کے بیمار کر دیا
راتوں کو چاندنی کے بھروسے نہ چھوڑنا
سورج نے جنگوؤں کو خبردار کر دیا
رُک رُک کے لوگ دیکھ رہے ہیں میری طرف
تم نے ذرا سی بات کو اخبار کر دیا
اس بار ایک اور بھی دیوار گِر گئی
بارش نے میرے گھر کو ہوا دار کر دیا
بولا تھا سچ تو زہر پلایا گیا مجھے
اچھائیوں نے مجھ کو گناہ گار کر دیا
دو گز سہی مگر یہ میری ملکیت تو ہے
اے موت تُو نے مجھ کو زمیندار کر دیا
