Coronavirus: Canada, other countries suspending flights from the UK
  • 3 years ago
Canada became the latest country to suspend flights from the U.K. as a new variant of the coronavirus continues to spread, which prompted stringent lockdowns in several parts of the country over the weekend. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the decision after meeting with his emergency committee. The suspension will last for 72 hours effective midnight for all commercial and private passenger planes. Alongside Canada, several European countries have also banned air travel from the UK with some including sea and land transportation as part of their suspension. Ross Lord reports
